Many people have been delayed and frustrated maritally while some have died in the process trying to settle down in life. The devil has not stop fighting, ever since he was sent packing from Heaven, he has been looking for how to destroy God’s creature. John 10:10 – “The devil came to kill, to steal and to destroy …”
Right from when your parents married, the devil will delay your coming to earth either by delaying the pregnancy from coming on time and he delays you from coming out of the womb. Some women lose their lives giving birth while some lose their babies while giving birth. And when you start growing, he attacks from all angles, even Jesus was attacked but the devil through Herod killed so many children and yet Jesus escaped.
And when you become an adult, it is either the devil frustrates you academically, and when you eventually escape through school, getting a job becomes an issue. When you get a good job, settling down becomes a problem. As a man, you don’t see any reason why you will want to settle down but rather prefer sleeping around with girls, such person sees marriage as a cage.
As a lady, some are seen as men while the ones that are seen as ladies would reject every man that comes their way and before they know what is happening, they are already ageing and the men will start running away from them.
And when you eventually find Mr. or Mrs Right, that is not the time to relax but the time to get serious with God. If you have not known God, this is the time to surrender your life to Christ. This is the most important decision in life. If you don’t do this, you might live to regret for the rest of your life.
Apart from securing your life and that of your partner, it is also important to for future purposes. It is not every Church you see you attend, some are traps. And when you start attending a Bible believing Church, don’t deviate from it. I remember a lady who wanted to marry by all means and because she doesn’t want to follow the church procedure, she quickly looked for another church and got married, today, she is struggling with the marriage and pregnancy.
That church you are running to, you don’t know what the man of God does in the secret, that is why you must be very careful. The place you marry will determine how your marital life will be.
An intending couple had sex after their traditional marriage in the village unknowingly. They were deceived into making love because they said since the dowry has been paid, they are free to do anything and so they did. When the couple went for marriage counselling, they were asked if they had had sex, because they said the truth, they were forgiven and the wedding took place, today the couple is doing well.
If they had lied, by now they would have been struggling to have a baby because of that act. When you attend a Bible believing church, you will be guided and taught the way of God and informed the implication of what you are doing without fear or favour.
I remember when we were returning from our traditional marriage, I was the one driving. The Lokoja Bridge turned into three routes and I felt dizziness, it was when I shouted the name of JESUS, that the bridge became one route. the Bible says, “At the mention of the name JESUS, every knee must bow both on earth, underneath the earth, …. The devil does not stop fighting, it is continuous.
I also remembered when my late friend wedded, the very day he wedded, four of his friends died in a car crash on Jabi Expressway in Abuja that night. It might not be you but the people that are coming for your wedding. Of course, devil wants to spite you and ensuring that it is on record that some people died when they come for your wedding.
The prayer should be a collective one with your partner and if possible involve your friends or brothers or sisters in the church to pray along with you. You might not experience any of these things, it might be when you are experiencing pregnancy.
We have had cases of people who waited for years to get pregnancy while some are when they want to give birth. Devil does not rest, he is always fighting to frustrate the children of God. We have also had cases where children all perish either one after the other or once.
A family around my house decided to go for a journey, last minute, the oldest son decided to stay back and that was how he became the only survival out of all the family, both parents perished in the accident.
At this stage in life, you have no choice but to serve God except you want to expose yourself and others to the devil. If you are not ready to serve God, please don’t expose others, it is better you stay alone.
