On Thursday, the National League One led by Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Sola Odumosu visited Nyanya Sports Centre to carry out inspection of the Football Pitch and other facilities ahead of the commencement of the league.
Mr. Sola who came to see things for himself to avoid complaints from any corner was amazed by what he saw in a small community of Nyanya.
Meanwhile the COO was taken around by the chairman and the team manager of the Police Machine Football Team, Mr. Shedrack Dawell and Mr. Daniel Kwaje respectively. Some of the facilities he inspected are the pavilion stand, dressing rooms both for the home and away team, including the water supply/tank.
The Chief Operating Officer was also shown the Club House which is nearing completion. He also saw the interlocking materials meant for the completion of the community stadium.
Chairman of the Police Machine however assured the COO of tight security before, during and after matches. He said they are going to station policemen at various points to avoid misbehavior of fans.
Meanwhile, the COO did not make any comment concerning the inspection but assured the team officials that they are going to look into what they presented.
It would be recalled that the NLO is a grassroot league hence they are trying to see how to encourage community football from the grassroot and also see how they can gradually develop their football pitch and fan base just like what is obtainable in England.
