The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Mr. Sunday Babaji today presented jerseys, footballs and other kits to the Police Machine Football Team.
He made the presentation in his office, at the FCT Police Command, Abuja to the Team Manager, Mr. Daniel Kwaji.
The Commissioner of Police who is a lover of football, last Friday, also presented kits to Balaga United of Gombe, a clubside from his community.
While presenting the kits, CP Babaji congratulated the Police Machine team for their victory on Wednesday against Setraco Football Club.
Mr. Babaji said he is happy that the team is doing well hence the reason why he was motivated to support them with new jerseys and kits.
His words, “I believe with the new jerseys, they would breathe fresh air into their them and I am confident that they would not disappoint the command and they will be motivated to go the extra mile to make us proud by qualifying for the Nigeria National League, NNL, a feat that has never been achieved before.
“We will do everything within our power to ensure we motivate them by making available their allowances to make them happy. I will also create time out of my busy schedules to go and watch some of their matches,” he assured.
Responding, the team manager, Mr. Kwaji appreciated the CP for the support they have enjoyed thus far since his assumption of office. He however assured the Commissioner of Police that they will not disappoint the command especially the confidence repose in them hence they will strive harder to win all the matches and gain promotion to the NNL.
It will be recalled that Police Machine defeated Setraco by 2-0. Penultimate week, they walked over a Jos-based team, getting three points, three goals to top the National League One, NLO table.
