
Kano state is presently leading the medals’ table of the ongoing 1st National Para Games 2022 which is taking place at the MKO Abiola stadium, Abuja.
The medal table which was released and signed by the Games Coordinator, Mr. Peter Nelson has 21 states of the Federation in attendance participating.
The event which started on Saturday saw Kano State with 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal while the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and Oyo are in the second position with 1 gold medal each.
Third on the medal table is Imo State with two silver medal while Kwara has two bronze medals. The other 16 states are yet to win any medal.
Meanwhile, Delta and Rivers states which are known for sports are not participating in the ongoing Games.
The athletes who are challenged physically are participating in various sports like football, athletics and others.
