Real Madrid midfield maestro and former Tottenham Hotspurs player, Luka Modric says one of the things he has learned over the years in his present club is never to give up.
He made this confession when he was given an award (Marca Leyenda – Marca Legenda) for outstanding performance in his career recently at Casino De Madrid, Spain.
According to him, he has learnt a lot in Madrid and while in Madrid, they are taught never to give up no matter the circumstance. “In Real Madrid, they teach us never to give up.”
However, Modric was making reference to their several come-backs they had both in the La-Liga and in this year’s UEFA Champions League that saw them get to the final, that will be played next week against Liverpool Football Club of England.
Recalled that they came back from a 0-3 against Chelsea to bundle out the defending champions in the quarter-final before they did the same to another English side, Manchester City in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Modric who was being linked with many club sides after Real Madrid won their third UEFA Champions League under Coach Zinedine Zidane says Real Madrid is his home hence he is going nowhere until he retires. “Real madrid is my home, I will stay many more years here until I am no longer playing.” he claimed.
