Super Eagles of Nigeria has been charged to defeat Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers slated for Monday, June 13 at the Grand Stade Agadir, also known as Adrar Stadium.
The fans who called into a popular sports programme on Sunday said they will not be happy if they fail to Sao Tome and Principe which is also known as ‘The Falcons and True Parrots’ by minimum of three goals to nothing.
One of the callers, Dora said, if Guinea can defeat them by 5-1, anything short of three goals to nothing will not be accepted.
Another caller, Daniel also said if the Super Eagles fail to beat Sao Tome by 3-0, that means they are not good enough to represent at the senior level hence they should replace them with the Flying Eagles that just won the WAFU B tournament in Niger Republic.
It would be recalled that fans are not happy with the performances of the Super Eagles of late. They crashed out in the first round at the last AFCON in Cameroun, failed to qualify for the world cup in Qatar after they were denied by Black Stars of Ghana and their last match against Sierra Leone which they claimed they struggled to win in Abuja last Thursday.
Recalled also that Sao Tome and Principe lost by 1-5 to Guinea Bissau in their first AFCON qualifying match.
