
The spirit of FESTAC, the greatest and largest assembly of the Black race in history, will be resurrected and conjoined with the incomparable power of Sports, to unify and to create the possibility of a new World where all Civilisations will live in peace and friendship, and as equal partners in the business of humanity.
According to Ambassador Olusegun Odegbami MON, Step-one took place on February 24, 2022. Step-two of that journey will starts at 11:00am tomorrow (June 23, 2022), at the Main Auditorium of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, Kofo Abayomi Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.
‘Conversations’ will take place on “The FESTAC of Sports” by distinguished scholars and participants at FESTAC ’77, and also by a living legend of international sports from the USA – Professor Duro Oni, Professor Ekundayo Simpson and Mr. Ron Freeman (African/America track legend).
A new page in International Relations and Diplomacy is about to be opened from the event that starts at 11 am and will be broadcast to the world by different media including NTA, Eagle7 Sports Radio and several social media platforms.
The Special Guest of Honour of the event is Chief Allen Onyema, Chairman of Airpeace Airlines.
The public is invited to what promises to be a stimulating few hours being powered by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, the National Council for Arts and Culture, the Nigeria Television Authority and MTN.
